When is UrbanHelper launching?
We're rolling out in the Greater Toronto Area, neighbourhood by neighbourhood. Join early access and we'll let you know the moment it's available near you.
How are helpers verified?
Helpers complete identity verification before they can take work, and certain services require additional credentials. Customers rate every job, so quality is continuously reviewed.
How much does it cost?
Every service shows its price upfront, before you book. When you pick a time, you'll see the full total: the price plus tax, with no hidden fees. You're only charged once the job is done.
How does payment work?
You pay securely in the app. Your payment is held and only released to the helper once the job is completed. Tips, if you choose to add them, go entirely to your helper.
Can I change or cancel a booking?
Yes. You can reschedule or cancel from the app. Cancelling is free up to the cutoff shown on your booking. After that, if a helper has already taken the job, half the price covers the time they set aside; if no helper was matched yet, cancelling is still free. Once a helper is on their way the booking can't be cancelled.
What if something goes wrong?
If a job isn't right, report it from the booking and our team reviews it and follows up to make things right, including a refund where it's warranted. If a helper can't complete the job, you're not charged.
